[240910] Super Junior confesses their thoughts on Kangin and Hankyung
Super Junior stated, “When Kangin first became involved in an assault case, we thought that we needed to shield him and protect him. Kangin showed that he was sorry to us and really did reflect that on his actions, but we couldn’t help but feel a sense of betrayal when one month later, he became involved in another drunk driving accident.”
They went on to state, “But we believed that we are all one, so we tried to protect him as much as possible. They say that time is medicine, and as time passed, our feelings softened up as well.”
The members also confessed their feelings on fellow member Hankyung’s decision to terminate his contract with SM Entertainment.
“We still can’t get in contact with Hankyung. We were all very close with him but we are unable to contact him separately. We honestly felt disappointed when reports said that his life in Korea was difficult and that the Super Junior members didn’t take care of him.”
Leader Lee Teuk continued, “It would’ve been nice if he discussed his problems with the members first because we honestly had no idea. None of us ever thought that Hankyung would act like that.”
The members all agreed by stating, “We still miss Hankyung right now.”
Lee Teuk concluded, “We leave an empty space for Hankyung. My one dream is to stand on stage with all 13 of us and perform before I leave for the army. I hope for it to happen.”
Lee Teuk still have some years left before the age limit (35) where Korean male citizens must serve a mandatory 2 years in the military. However, most celebrities tend to serve around the ages of 28-30, so they can still be relatively young and continue their careers when their tour of duty is over.
Netizens commented, “Whenever something bad happens, members are afraid to speak the truth on broadcasts. I like that they’re being honest.,” “I miss Hankyung as well,” and “Super Junior shines the brightest when it’s 13.”

Hankyung get angry at broadcast show in China
Yesterday (July 6th),there’s media reporting that Hangeng got into a dispute with the directors of [big shot'sbirthday party], and suddenly left the recording. According to sources, Hangeng’s manager argued with the directors during the recording; after conversing for half an hour, there was still no result, so Hangeng left the recording. The program’s producer Lady Song said that Hangeng doesn’t have moral. Today, Hangeng’s manager Sun Le is clarifying the subject by Sina. He said that the staff twisted the truth, and used this for popularity, the complete details are below:
On the afternoon of July 6th, Hangeng was a guest on [bi shot's birthday party] the program was stopped halfway, which caused a lot of twisted trust, there’s people using this for popularity, and has cause great pain to Hangeng. Being Hangeng’s Manager, I only want to say with a severe tone, and hope they can stop using him:
1. Hangeng & Hangeng’s Staff members, are very thankful to [big shot's birthday party] for their preparations for this episode, and all their hardwork!
2. Hangeng and Hangeng’s Staff members, are very thankful to the fans that were there for their understanding and support! We’re very sorry about this result, and are sincerely sorry to the fans!
3. Hangeng and Hangeng’s Staff members, are very thankful to the other guests that were there. With this kind of result, we’re very sorry to the guests!
4. The Manager took Geng out of recording because the Program’s details were very differently described to us before. When Hangeng’s staff members asked for the program’s details many times, the program producers still kept the program’s details a secret. This contains signs of lying, they don’t consider the guests’ feelings, and ignored both sides’ trust.
5. Producer Song Jia Yi used Hangeng’s rumors to increase the program’s effects, used him for popularity, which is very unrespectful to both artists. 10 days Before the program recording, Hangeng’s staff members were communicating with the program’s to get all the details on the program, but the Program’s staff kept holding back the details. Producer Song Jia Yi promised that they weren’t gonna use rumors, and said they were going to give Hangeng a surprise. But what we received was the Program using the artist’s rumors for Program effects, and completely ignoring the artist’s feelings. And also seriously violated the promise the program gave to Hangeng and Hangeng’s Staffs.
6. MC Huang Xiao Lei twisted the truth. Before the recording began, producer Song Jia Yi demanded Hangeng to sit in front of the computer with the Program’s Logo on it, in order to promote their Weibo. Hangeng was very cooperative. This kind of cooperation was said by MC Huang Xiao Lei to be, “keeps delaying appearance, posting weibo updates backstage”.
7. The Staff ignored Hangeng’s wishes of protecting his family members, and brought his family members to the show. Even after the recording was paused, the producer Song Jia Yi wouldn’t tell Hangeng or his Manager where Hangeng’s family members were, even after Hangeng and his Manager kept asking.
8. After the program was stopped; Producer Song Jia Yi, and MC Huang Xiao Lei posted in their personal weibos, and told the media everything; twisting the truth, and blinding judgements, using attacking languages to ruin the artist’s image, using this to increase their popularity.
[Big Shot's Birthday party]‘s Program Staff Members cause great harm to Hangeng. We hope you’ll stop all ways of using him to achieve popularity, or else we’ll have to take legal actions.

SME to Hangeng: You’re still under contract with us
Hangeng filed a lawsuit against SME last December in South Korea to terminate his exclusive contract, saying that it was disadvantageous to him.
He left South Korea and is living in his native China.
Since then, Hangeng has been charting his career as a solo singer outside SME.
SME’s action is regarded as a response to many activities that Hangeng has been doing in the past several months including TV appearances.
Recently, Hangeng and Chinese singer Zhou BiChang recorded the official song for the Asian Games that will be held in Guangzhou, China this November. The song has topped 20 music charts in different parts of China.
Hangeng is also set to release his own album.
In an article in a Chinese website, Hangeng talked about his lawsuit.
“In Korea, artists terminating their contracts are very common. If that artist is a solo artist, the termination just needs to go through the necessary procedures to complete, but it is more sensitive if that artist is in a group, as he/she not only needs to face the company, but also the fans and members who make up the group who have been together for many years,” said Hangeng in a translation by sj-world.net, the international forum for Super Junior fans.
Hangeng is leaving up to his lawyer to work on the lawsuit while he is focusing on his career.
In addition to singing, he said he is interested in making movies and his dream is to act with his idol Jackie Chan.

Super Junior: “Shindong’s wedding? We’re not sure if all of us will be able to attend!”
At a recent interview, Shindong captured the reporters’ attention by saying “I want to get married within the year”. Then with a joking look he added “I’m not sure if all the members will be able to attend”.
In regards to his wedding, Shindong made his feelings about his marriage plans public, saying “We still haven’t set a date but we’ve met each others parents. Weddings aren’t just a one-person decision, but personally I’d like to get married within the year.”
He added “After we went public with our relationship, my girlfriend had a more difficult time than I had expected. She received a lot of attention from journalists once her name was revealed in an article, which scared her and was hard on her, but at the same time she also thought it was fun”. He also said “We’ve had to be more careful than before when we meet up.”
Shindong said “Although I proposed to her through the album, she still hasn’t given me a reply.” His fellow members said “Shindong seems like the coolest guy”.
Leeteuk said about Shindong’s proposal, “This is really Shindong’s type of proposal. While we were shooting a photo shoot, he was looking at his keyboard intensely and working hard. I had no idea Shindong was being so clever.”
Also Heechul showed his appreciation for such a passionate proposal method by smiling and saying “I knew [about the public proposal]. I thought it was so cool that he had a girlfriend he likes and was going to tell her like this that I thought I should applaud him. But then I thought that this would really be interesting. He was even going to write down her name”
In reply to the question “Who will sing at the wedding?”, Yesung jokingly answered “At Shindong’s wedding I should sing ‘Love Really Hurts’”. The members all said “We sincerely congratulate him. However we’re not sure if all of us will be able to attend the wedding”, relieving some of Shindong’s worries through their playful jokes.
Meanwhile, Super Junior (Leeteuk, Heechul, Hankyung, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, Kyuhyun) have released their new album with their SJ Funky style. In only 8 days, their album sold 100,000 copies.

SJ,”We are really sorry to Hankyung”
Super Junior met with the reporters in Seoul Kangnamgu Ahpgujung on May 20th afternoon and said, “we are really sorry to Hankyung”
Super Junior is working as a group 10 people and not 13 people for the 4th album activity. Kangin who has received the draft notice is planning to voluntarily enter into the army this July. Kibum did not participate in this album to focus on his acting career. Chinese member Hankyung applied to dissolve his contract and is in a lawsuit with the current management company.
Leader Leeteuk said, “Because we spent long time with Hankyung, we forgot that he is “a Chinese” and we did not listen carefully to each other like families who gather together everyday that do not confess their worries to each other.”
Leeteuk said, “we thought it must have been difficult for Hankyung to go that length. If he changes his mind later, we hope he comes back, because there’s a place for him.”
Unlike Hankyung who is not in contact with the members, Kangin and Kibum continue to cheer the members. The members said, “after a performance ends, they text us. They watch our comeback performances at 3 broadcasting companies and criticize us. They would compliment us saying ‘the choreography looks cool.’ Kangin said that the members looked really cool.”
Meanwhlie, Super Junior is becoming popular with their 4th album title song ‘Miinah.’

[NEWS] Heechul ; After Hangeng Left.. he had depressed thoughts..
The wound that Kim Heechul has received was especially big. He lived in the same dorm as Hankyung and had a special relationship with him. Their special relationship can be observed with his cyworld minihompy containing full of pictures that they took together. He said, “I was in a big chaos. It was difficult for me to laugh on TV and dance on stage.”
Afterwards, he did not go on any of the stage including year end award shows. For 3 months, he lived in seclusion, locking his door. His only friends were two cats. Kim Heechul revealed, “I had some lingering emotions. Since I did not meet any people, depression got worse. I had lived with Hankyung, drinked together and was really close. It was mentally difficult.”
During his difficult time, the person who supported him was oddly Eunhyuk who he did not think was close with. There was a distance between them as Heechul who liked entertainment and Eunhyuk who’s a devout Christian were complete opposite of each other. However, Heechul came to himself when Eunhyuk said, “hyung’s not good at singing or dancing, but we can’t survive without you hyung.”
Leeteuk and Shindong also told him encouraging words and Donghae came to his house and made dinner for him. He thought, “I’ve been too attached to one friend when there are many friends who are trying to go the same direction, .”
He emptied his mind. His mind became comfortable after thinking, “when we and Hankyung do well we can meet each other.” Heechul was able to talk about difficult problems on variety shows.
“Because he’s a friend, I despise him, feel sorry, upset. Even though I have many mixed emotions, I’ve become better now.” Kim Heechul said, “I told Hankyung to come over when he gets married.”
Actually, other members were shocked when Hankyung left. It was because the members did not even know about the problem. Leeteuk knew about Hankyung leaving after reading an article. Even though, they were shocked, on the other hand, they felt sorry.
Leeteuk said, “because we were always together, I think we forgot that he was a foreigner. We should have talked a lot but because we were busy we didn’t get to communicate often. It must have been difficult for him to have made that decision. I feel sorry.”
However, after the rain, the ground gets harder. After experiencing various incidents, actually the members became more close. We were able to feel the members’ preciousness. Kim Heechul said, “what I learned after experiencing this is that we have to treat each other well when they are with us. We were able to feel the members’ preciousness.”
Leeteuk also said, “I think we are working harder to fill the empty spaces of other members. There’s always a place for them. They just have to come back. We are going to work harder so that when they feel that they want to come back, they would be able to come back without any burden. “

{NEWS} Hangeng to release new album in two months
Yesterday , Hangeng, who hasn’t yet ended his lawsuit case appeared on the opening ceremony of ‘New Power Music Plan’, organized by Enlight Media Group. Yuan Weiren said that they are now helping Hangeng for his new album. According to what the reporters had known, Hangeng will have his new career after leaving the band. The new album that Yuan Weiren had mention is expected to be released by two months later from now.
The ‘New Power Music Plan’ is aiming the new singers, and during July to November they will record the creations of those new singers, and combined into 5 albums. 5 experienced musicians, Zhang Yadong, Yuan Weiren, Gao Xiaosong, Paul Wong and Xiao Ke are going to be the producer of these 5 albums.
Other than Zhang Yadong, (Ziao Ke wasn’t’ available), 3 other musicians came to the opening ceremony yesterday, together with Hangeng who was the guest. Having Hangeng standing in the middle, it really feels like a large group of people protecting and supporting a new star. Seeing the other experienced musicians, Hangeng was very humble, always saying that he’s ‘excited’. As the lawsuit hasn’t yet finished, Hangeng spoke very carefully and formally, he mentioned that he will be joining this singer selection, hoping that his new songs could be recorded in those 5 albums. He even said “I’m very greedy, and if I have a chance, I wanted these 5 musicians help me to produce an album. Yuan Weiren who was standing aside suddenly said that he was preparing the new album for Hangeng, and had already received half of the works. Meanwhile, Gao Xiaosong is discussing the contract terms with Hangeng.
Because of the oppression and exploitation, Hangeng decided to sue his litigation in the Korea Court, hoping to end the contract with SME, and then Hangeng will have a different path as Super Junior, not attending the concerts as well as any public activities of their new album.
As the law case hasn’t yet ended, Hangeng didn’t accept any of the interviews, than Yuan Weiren, Gao Xiaosong became the reporters target, asking them about Hangeng’s news. Gao Xiaosong was apparently feeling a bit annoyed, he said “I hope the newspaper tomorrow won’t be talking about ‘me and Yuan Weiren have made a new album for Hangeng’, actually I was just compromising the cooperation with Hangeng , and those are related to dancing and singing, not the new album.” According to the reporters, Hangeng hadn’t yet signed contract with the recording company, but he will after the law case has ended. The new album that Yuan Weiren had mentioned is expected to be released two months later.

Hankyung: The Volunteer ambassador loves China’s culture the most!
Being Extremely Excited For Performing In Shanghai Expo
Hangeng told the reporters that he felt very fortunate and excited to be able to perform on the stage at the Expo Site. “It’s really exciting, I’m especially proud of the Chinese Element Section!”
In the Chinese Element teaching areas, there are different sections with themes of weaving textile, pottery, fan-makings, Chinese paper cutting, tea art and other talents etc, each sections showing different Chinese traditional cultures. Hangeng visited the sections one by one with interest, and after asking an old master to teach him pottery, he even tried making one by his own. “I’ve never had such kind of feeling before, being one part of the Chinese Elements; the experience gained is surely real, I feel really happy and relaxed.”
Using His Influence To The Public To Be A Good Volunteer
Although after bearing all those hardship and finally became an ex-member of a 12 people popular Kpop band, Hangeng still wanted to develop his career in his own country. Regarding to this, he said “I’ve been studying Chinese national culture while I was in Minzu University of China. I have been to many historical sites and I love Chinese Culture very much.” Hangeng had learnt 56 National dances, and even knew martial arts, he has been one of the three members in a gagster group while he was in university. People from other countries wouldn’t know how deep his feelings and devotion towards National culture, even the fans wouldn’t understand his inner feelings. Geng seems to be a lively and cheerful person, but back in Korea, he has always been the ‘silent kind’. His group member would always ask him “Why is Hangeng Hyung always reading book alone?” Sometimes on TV shows, Hangeng would also try to avoid the camera. He explained, “It’s because of difference in language that makes communication difficult, and because of different culture that made me unable to blend into their society.”
Although Geng still haven’t got out of the contract problem, he had already come back (China) and entered the entertainment industry, and was supported by many mainland fans. Being at the World Expo this time, he said “I will treasure the identity of being a ‘Volunteer’, and I’m going to use my influence as a singer to be a good propagandist of Chinese culture.”
