Super Junior M nominated for ‘best singer award’ at 21st Golden Melody Awards
According to SM Entertainment on 27th May, they have nominated for the ‘Best Singer Group’ award at the 21st Golden Melody Awards together with other big names like Cotton Candy and Power Station.
The SM Entertainment rep commented, “Super Junior M was invited as special guests to attend the Golden Melody Award last year, and having being nominated this year, there has been much interests as to whether they will be the first Korean singers to win an award at the Golden Melody Awards.”
Meanwhile, the award ceremony will be held on 26th June.

SJM nomination stir controversy
Super Junior-M released their Chinese mini album last year to further expand their Asian market. Although the Mandarin pronunciations from some of their Korean members might be questionable, fans didn’t mind and flocked to buy their album anyways. Unfortunately, soon after their nomination for Best Singing Group was announced, netizens were already questioning why they were nominated despite their shaky Mandarin. Other netizens came to their defense and stressed that they were in fact singing in Chinese.
Superduper Superband was also criticized by netizens on their nomination for Best Band. The band was formed in 2008 with veteran superstars Lo Da-Yu (55), Jonathan Lee (51), Emil Chau (49) and Chang Chen-Yue (36). They have performed over 40 shows in the past two years and is estimated to have made 4.3 billion (NTD). The band announced that they will breakup after racking up enough retirement savings their concert tour. Some netizens questioned the choice nominating a “Limited-time only” band.
Regardless of anyone’s opinion, Superband will take home at least one Golden Melody award on June 26th – They will be given a special judging committee award for their contributions to the music industry.

[NEWS] Super Junior-M Wins Award, Records New Album!
Super Junior-M received the Mengniu Dairy China TOP award for Most Popular Group (polled in Mainland China). They were not present to receive the award personally, obviously, but Zhou Mi, Henry, and Siwon recorded an acceptance speech. Only Zhou Mi and Henry spoke and they mentioned that they are recording a new album. Video of their speech and a transcript below:

[NEWS] Representative Chang “Will Bring Uknow Yunho, Super Junior-M & F(x) To Display Image”
The Shanghai world expo is an opportunity for both Korea and China to know more about each other.
Being the representative for the Korea’s booth in the world expo, Representative Chang Joon-sang stated on the 22nd at the media conference for the world expo that, “China is now Korea’s number 1 country. In the long run, it will become a greater and more important country.”
Representative Chang also stated that the EXPO not only affect the participating countries’ strength, but the most important reason is that this event may affect the economy of the country, just like how the Olympics can held affect the country’s economy.
In this exhibition, Korea will be represented through its products, image, as well as culture.
Korea’s booth will be all about image, and they have invited DBSK’s Uknow Yunho, Super Junior M and F(x) to participate in the events.

Pewawancara kami juga mengetahui, hal ini juga karena adanya permintaan dari kedua artis tersebut untuk memakai alat-alat yang terbaik untuk lampu penerangan dan audio di halaman konser, maka itulah untuk konser ini mereka harus bekerja lebih keras lagi. Walaupun begitu, karena adanya perubahan cuaca yang mendadak ini di bagian utara, terjadi penundaan pengiriman alat-alat konser, dan dari pihak penyelenggara pun tidak menyangka kalau hal ini bisa terjadi, maka itu diputuskan konser ini ditunda terlebih dahulu.
Setelah mengetahui tentang penundaan konser ini, banyak orang yang sudah membeli tiket ini tidak usah khawatir, dikarenakan konser akan tetap berlangsung seperti biasa. Tapi, pihak penyelenggara memberikan pernyataan, “Karena konser ini untuk hal yang baik, kami yakin para artis akan tetap tampil dan konser ini akan tetap berjalan seperti biasa.”

Earlier, Music Fengyun Bang disclosed that the music festival that will be held on January 11th 2010 has invited, popular Korean group, Super Junior M. However, there has been a recent problem; Super Junior M’s leader, Hangeng requested the termination of his contract, which might lead to the group disbanding. This problem made a great impact on if SJ-M will attend the festival or not. The festival’s representative has talked to the Korean staff and is hoping to make a deal, that even if SJ-M can not attend this festival, Hangeng can attend alone.
This year, Super Junior M has reached a great success in the music industry. Earlier this year, in Korea because of ‘Sorry Sorry’, Super junior caused an uproar in Asia. Then in September SJ-M’s Mini album ‘Super Girl’ became the top selling album in Taiwan. ‘Super Girl’ also made an impressive record for Mainland TV and Radio. During these two years, SJ-M became highly popular due to their professional view towards music, which has captured many fan’s hearts.
Because of their new found popularity this year, Music Fengyun Bang’s organizer was planing on giving the “Best Role Model Oversea Artist of the Year” to Super Junior M. Suasana penyelenggaraan Asia Pacific Film Festival tanggal 19 Desember kemarin sedikit mencekam. Gempa dengan kekuatan 6.4 skala ritcher sempat terekam pada pukul 21.02 waktu setempat (pukul 20.02 WIB) dan berpusat di 44 Km di bawah permukaan laut mengguncang gedung tempat dimana acara APFF diadakan malam itu. Namun acara tetep berlangsung meski sempat terjadi kepanikan untuk sesaat, dan SJ-M yang malam itu tetap tampil membawakan SuperGirl dan Blue Tomorrow tak lama setelah gempa berakhir. Dan yang akan kita bahas kali ini bukan soal gempa yang menggoyang Taiwan tentunya, melainkan penampilan Suju-M malam itu yang medapat sorotan tajam dari media setempat karena adanya indikasi Lipsync yang kembali dilakukan oleh grup idol sekaliber Superjunior.
Mengungkit soal Lypsinc, media Taiwan memang sepertinya agak sensitif soal yang satu ini. Meski ada kalanya seorang penyanyi terpaksa harus menggunakan suara sound system karena satu dan lain hal, tapi tetap saja media tidak mau tahu seribu alasan yang dilontarkan. Mereka hanya mau tahu, penyanyi itu HARUS tampil LIVE dalam kondisi apapun. Yang dialami Suju-M kemarin tak berbeda jauh dengan apa yang dialami oleh Ayumi Hamasaki yang sempat singgung soal dirinya melakukan Lipsync di konser perdananya di Taiwan tahun lalu.
Saat diundang ikut hadir dalam acara ini, konon pihak Suju-M langsung mengiyakan tanpa melakukan tawar menawar lagi soal jadwal manggung. Inilah yang menyebabkan jadwal Suju-M langsung kacau balau dan terpaksa dipadatkan sebisa mungkin agar mereka tetap bisa tampil di APFF tanpa membatalkan acara lainnya. Banyak pihak sempat pesimis melihat jadwal penerbangan yang terlalu berisiko, dan akhirnya kecemasan itu benar – benar terbukti, Suju-M terpaksa tidak ikut acara red carpet setelah perjalanan dari Wu Xi memakan waktu lebih dari 4 jam membuat mereka tertinggal pesawat saat di Hongkong.
Selaim jadwal yang mandek, mereka tergajal masalah visa dan harus stuck di keimigrasian dalam waktu yang lama. Alhasil, saat tiba di taiwan kondisi fisik Suju-M sudah “ancur lebur” badan mereka sudah kotor dan lengket karena hampir seharian belum mengganti baju apalagi mandi. Sedangkan waktunya sudah mepet dan acara hampir dimulai, dengan terpaksa pihak produser mengganti urutan tampil Suju-M dengan Gigi leung. Melihat keadaan Hangeng dkk yang gak karuan itu, pihak panitia menyuruh mereka membersihkan badan terlebih dahulu dan beberapa staff buru – buru membeli sabun, shampoo, etc. Karena di gedung pertunjukkan gak tersedia air panas, mereka ber-7 terpaksa menggunakan air dingin, padahal cuaca saat itu sedang dingin mengigil. Tapi sebagai penampil , mereka ngotot harus tampil sewangi mungkin saat diatas panggung.
Badan udah Ok, rambut berikut make-up semua udah perfect, tiba – tiba pas mau naik panggung gempa datang mengguncang ~ wkwkwkwkkw~ Mereka ber-7 kembali menunggu hingga gempa reda dan baru naik kembali ke atas panggung membawakan Super Girl dan Blue Tomorrow. Dan ujung – ujungnya para media massa menyebut kalau suju-M tidak menyanyi dengan suara asli, alias LIPSYNC.
Yup, para jurnalis menulis di media massa bahwa banyak orang bilang bahwa saat tampila di APFF Suju-M melakukan Lipsync pada SuperGirl dan Blue Tomorrow. Dan hal ini tentulah membuat fans taiwan berang, telebih lagi bagi mereka yang saat itu nonton secara langsung dari TKP. Mereka menilai Hangeng dkk menyanyi secara LIVE karena suara mereka berbeda dari CD, dan meminta para wartawan untuk bisa memasang telinga mereka baik – baik sebelum men-judge sesuatu. Andaikan mereka melakukan Lipsync –pun hal itu dirasa wajar mengingat perjalanan yang mereka tempuh dari China-Hongkong-Taiwan dalam setengah hari tak memungkinkan mereka untuk tampil perfect dengan perut kosong dan kelelahan fisik yang luar biasa.
Kalau mau tahu soal kritik di taiwan, ini bukanlah yang pertama SJ ditimpa kritik tidak sedap. Sebelumnya saat tampil di GMA, SJ mengalami hal yang sama saat Sorry Sorry dinyanyikan secara Lipsync guna menampilkan koreografi yang prima. Tapi yang membuat kesal adalah cara penulisan mereka yang dianggap terlalu mem-blow-up. Seakan – akan SJ tak mampu tampil bagus secara LIVE.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Hangeng juga meminta maaf sebesar – besarnya karena telah membuat banyak Fans menangis karena kecewa saat menunggu kedatangan mereka ber-7 di red carpet. Banyak fans yang tidak mendapat tiket rela menunggu berjam – jam diluar karena berharap bisa melihat idola mereka melintas di red carpet. Tapi yang ditunggu – tunggu gak kunjung datang dan mereka yang sudah berdiri di tengah cuaca dingin sejak lama tak pelak lagi langsung menangis saking kecewanya.
Hangeng sendiri baru tahu hal ini setelah diberitahu oleh salah satu staff, dan saat menerima award malam kemarin, Hangeng menyampaikan penyesalannya dan berharap mereka bisa menyeka airmata para fansnya yang mengalir. Selain itu dia menambahkan, andaikan kelak mereka kembali ke Taiwan dan diijinkan untuk melakukan konser tahun depan, maka mereka tidak akan lagi membuat ELF Taiwan kecewa seperti kemarin.
